project with samuel from the environmental guias (guides from meduca, the ministery of education)
next few pictures are from a hill above my house familys house, its where i go to get cell signal when im not down in the center of town. this first month ive been living about a 20 minute hike up a hill from the main part of town. the next 2 months and the house im hoping to move into are down below

cutting and splitting bamboo, i ended up making a few cups out of it
this is the solar dryer at the granja, i dont have a finished pic but now its got plastic roofing and walls. jenny and brooks, volunteers nearby started this project with brianna a little while ago and just finished it up.. glad i got to help because when im on my own, ill know how to store the plastic during summer and fix it if anything happens
my potential house is in there somewhere
and there it is. its pretty big inside, full cell señal which is nice. theres no latrine but ill probably end up pooping in a bucket and using it as fertilizer ;).. a composting latrine. like ive said theres no electricity in LB but ill probably end up getting either a solar panel to charge some things and have a little light, or ill get a car battery.. or ill get lazy and do neither haha
